They are willing to reflect and learn from experience.

How do you embark on a journey of Self Improvement?
There are few things you can do on a regular basis to improve in all areas of your life.
You have to know yourself and to do this you must solicit feedback from others.
Remember, perception is reality.
It doesn't matter how you wanted or tried to come across to others, what matters is what they saw and heard.
Work to understand how people perceive you.
You may not be achieving what you expected.
You cannot adjust your approach without the benefit of feedback, so ask for it.
And be prepared for what you might hear.
Once you get it, be open to and appreciative of the feedback you receive, not defensive.
Seek to understand rather than to be understood.
Take time to reflect on the day.
We all get so caught up in our lives and we never have any quiet time, what with mobiles, computers, email, etc. I myself is guilty of this, and sometimes I have to stop myself from being busy and take time and go through my self improvement resources because if I don't I will not move forward.
That's why it is so important to spend time alone to think about recent behavior and activities.
Take time every day to reflect on the day's work and interactions.
And if something didn't go the way you wanted – think about it, but do not obsess.
The point is to learn, not beat yourself up.
Pinpoint where you lost control or it went off track so you're better prepared next time.
Know your strengths and weaknesses.
Play to your strengths.
If you like to persuade people, then be around people.
If you hate detail, don't try to force yourself to do something you hate.
Be honest with yourself.

It's important to know when you can change something – like being a better listener – or when you are just trying to force a square peg in a round hole.
Above all, growth occurs through challenge.
You must always push yourself and not be content with "good enough.”
It is only then that the real development of ones self occurs.
