Healthy Living Tips

I have included a few Healthy Living tips, to get you started, yes I know it isn't Easy, let me show you that it can be easy, you just need to know how to start.

If you're like I was a few years ago, “exercise" was synonymous with “torture."

I hated it and it hated me.

But I can honestly tell you that my entire attitude has changed.

I now know how to be healthy and can't wait to get to the gym every day, and yes I now have my own set of healthy living tips.

What changed?

How did I learn how to be healthy?

I changed.Thought Control.

I changed my attitude, plain and simple.

If you go into something expecting to hate it, guess what?

You will.

If you go in expecting to love it, well, you might be disappointed but chances are you'll find a way to at least like it.

So, if you've never had a fitness routine before - or if it's been a while since you intentionally got your heart rate up, there's no time like the present

The key to keeping healthy is regular exercise. And here's some basics advice from me to you on how to be healthy, with my healthy living tips.

But first let me tell you something no one else will - when you first start an exercise routine, you will not feel good right away.

In fact, the first two weeks may be rough.

Your body is trying to adjust and you could find yourself tired, fatigued and cranky.

I think some people start exercising thinking that they are going to feel great from day one and it just doesn't happen so they stop.

STICK WITH IT.

Remember, you're working to keep healthy.

The first two weeks are your exercising initiation.

Once it's over, the benefits will start coming.

Think positive. Emotional Health.

I used to think of keeping healthy as punishment.

Attitude is everything - make yours positive.

If you hear negativity creeping in, banish it at once.

Turn it off.

Make time to exercise.

You'll never “find the time," you have to make it.

First thing in the morning is best, as things can crop up later in the day.

Remember why you want to do it.

Yet, the most important thing is why you do want to.

Yes, you want to keep healthy, but are you trying to lose weight?

Build strength? Improve your heart health?

Focus on these when you feel your motivation diminishing.

Start today.

Keeping healthy is an ongoing process.

You don't need a fancy gym membership, you can start slow.

Start off the day with a brisk walk outside to get yourself in the habit.

Be realistic and honest with yourself.

Have your own set of healthy living tips.

If you haven't exercised in years, don't try to run a 10-minute mile the first week.

Start slow and don't overdo it.

Set realistic goals with milestones.

“I want to lose 10 kilos in a month" is not realistic.

First, take your weight and measurements NOW.

Find out what you're working with and you can proceed.

Weigh yourself once a week and take measurements once a month.

You'll see the difference and this will provide the motivation to keep going and keep healthy.

Develop healthy eating habits, have your own set of healthy living tips to keep you on track.

Get a workout buddy.

You will be a lot less likely to turn off the alarm and sleep in if you know someone is waiting for you at the gym or track.

Change it up.

Don't do the exact same routine every day, you'll probably get bored and stop doing it.

One way to keep it fresh is to take the classes available at your local gym.

Why not try yoga, Tai Chi or kickboxing?

And look for recipes from health-conscious cookbooks.

Try to make something new once a week.

Do cardio and strength training.

All the crunches in the world are not going to give you washboard abs unless you do cardio and eat healthy.

You cannot “spot reduce" by just working one area.

You have to work on it all.

Just do it.

Don't think about it, just do it.

If you give yourself time to think, you can talk yourself out of going to the gym.

Do you debate whether or not to brush your teeth?

Exercising should be that automatic.

Break some of those bad habits.

Do you smoke?

Spend too much money? Spend too much time online.

Come up with a plan to get rid of those hindrances once and for all.

These tips will also help produce a healthy mindset and sometimes it's not easy to stay on the path of keeping healthy.

But, the more you grow and learn how to be healthy, the healthier you will become.
