Building Self Esteem

You Yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserves your love and affection.
Budda

Building self Esteem is the key to happiness and Success.

Who is stopping you from having more self esteem, or even building self esteem?

You.

What is stopping you from achieving success?

Your thoughts. Thought Control.

Yes, that’s right, the only thing holding you back is you.

Not the government, not your family, your boss, your spouse or your neighbors.

If you think negative thoughts, there’s no room for positivity.

So, what can you do?

Unfortunately, there no cure for low self esteem.

But, I am living proof that you can, slowly but surely, change your thoughts and your life along with them.

Great, so how do I change my thoughts

I’ve always thought this way - what can do?”

The answer is a whole lot - and start RIGHT NOW.

This second.

As you read this.

Are you thinking, This is a bunch of nonsense, this lady’s a fruitcake!?

Stop being negative and read with an open mind.

You are the sum of your thoughts - so make them good thoughts.

Look for a model or someone you know who has self esteem and learn from them.

What is it they do that makes them confident, how do they act? When I first started to work on my self esteem I used this saying fake it until you make it it is amazing how it works, it goes into the subconscious and before you know it you are full of confidence.

If you find yourself in a stressful or negative situation, think, “What would XX do?”

And then do it.

How was it different then, what you would have done?

Focus on your achievements rather than your failures.

If you do find yourself thinking about how you failed, stop it immediately and then look at what you managed to do right.

Banish all needless self-criticism and quit beating yourself up.

Learn how to feel good about yourself, learn how building self esteem can change your whole outlook on life.

When was the last time you felt good?

Do that more often.

Act as if you have self esteem! Fake it until you make it, this is how I came through, it really does work.

You will feel more confident.

Focus on who you are and what you like about yourself.

Why do your friends like you?

Prepare thoroughly for any task so that you can be sure you are ready.

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Work on any skills you need to do what you want, you can never be over trained or over skilled.

Learn how to relax.

Are you tense?

Find a way to unwind.

Always smile and stand up straight - look people in the eye when you meet them.

Set realistic goals for yourself and break difficult tasks into smaller steps.

Reward yourself when you succeed no matter how small the achievement.

Do not compare yourself with others.

Be yourself and accept that life is not a race against others.

If anything - compete against yourself and challenge yourself to do better.

But never, never ever give up.

For me, self esteem was a real issue which I never thought I could beat, I now share with you how I overcame it plus so many other challenges in my life, it's all in my book Overcoming Life's Challenges

Building Self Esteem Quote

To establish true self-esteem we must concentrate on our successes and forget about the failures and the negatives in our lives.

Denis Waitley

In my book,Overcoming Life's Challenges I candidly discuss how I overcame a troubled childhood, alcoholism, an eating disorder, bankruptcy and numerous health issues to find love, financial success and physical well-being. I talk about how I have taken the journey out of the darkness and into the light.
